IMPLEMENTASI STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN PAI DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER RELIGIUS PESERTA DIDIK DI SD SWASTA 118 MUHAMMADIYAH GUNUNG TUA

Pendidikan Agama Islam memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk karakter religius peserta didik sejak dini, khususnya di jenjang sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi strategi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam membentuk karakter religius peserta didik serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pelaksanaannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, guru Pendidikan Agama Islam, dan peserta didik di SD Swasta 118 Muhammadiyah Gunung Tua. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran PAI diimplementasikan melalui pembiasaan ibadah, keteladanan guru, pembelajaran kontekstual, serta integrasi nilai-nilai religius dalam budaya sekolah. Implementasi strategi tersebut berdampak positif terhadap pembentukan karakter religius peserta didik, yang tercermin dalam kedisiplinan beribadah, sikap hormat kepada guru dan orang tua, kebiasaan berdoa, kepedulian sosial, serta perilaku jujur dan bertanggung jawab. Faktor pendukung implementasi strategi pembelajaran PAI meliputi lingkungan sekolah yang religius, kerja sama antara guru dan orang tua, serta ketersediaan sarana keagamaan. Adapun faktor penghambatnya adalah perbedaan latar belakang keluarga peserta didik dan keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran.
Islamic Religious Education plays a strategic role in shaping students’ religious character from an early age, particularly at the elementary school level. This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning strategies in shaping students’ religious character and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects consisted of the principal, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and students at SD Swasta 118 Muhammadiyah Gunung Tua. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that Islamic Religious Education learning strategies are implemented through habituation of worship practices, teacher role modeling, contextual learning, and the integration of religious values into school culture. The implementation of these strategies has a positive impact on the formation of students’ religious character, as reflected in discipline in worship, respect toward teachers and parents, the habit of praying, social care, as well as honest and responsible behavior. Supporting factors include a religious school environment, collaboration between teachers and parents, and the availability of religious facilities, while inhibiting factors include differences in students’ family backgrounds and limited learning time.
