Abstrak

This research aims to examine the influence of Career Development and Work Ethic on the Motivation of Civil Servants in the Department of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of West Kalimantan Province. The research methodology involved statistical analysis using tests for normality, linearity, multicollinearity, regression analysis, and partial influence tests. Research Finding: The results of the normality test indicated that the data followed a normal distribution. The linearity test revealed a significant linear relationship between Career Development and Work Ethic with Motivation. There were no multicollinearity issues found. The regression analysis produced a multiple linear regression equation that explained the relationship between predictor variables and Motivation. The theoretical contribution of this research is to enhance understanding of the relationship between Career Development, Work Ethic, and Motivation among civil servants. The practical implications of this study can assist in designing more effective career development programs and fostering increased motivation in the workplace. The findings of this research offer valuable insights for practitioners to design targeted career development programs and for policymakers to formulate effective policies aimed at enhancing motivation among civil servants. Limitations of this research include constraints related to available data and a focus on a specific department. Future research could involve a broader sample and expand the scope of variables under investigation.
