<p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi Total Quality Management <br />(TQM) dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di lembaga pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. <br />Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan <br />kepala sekolah, guru, dan staf administrasi, observasi partisipatif terhadap proses TQM, serta <br />analisis dokumen seperti laporan evaluasi mutu dan kebijakan sekolah. Analisis data dilakukan <br />secara tematik dengan triangulasi sumber dan teknik untuk memastikan validitas. Hasil <br />penelitian menunjukkan bahwa TQM berfokus pada perbaikan berkelanjutan, penetapan <br />standar mutu, perubahan budaya, transformasi organisasi, dan hubungan erat dengan <br />pelanggan, yang meliputi siswa, orang tua, dan masyarakat. Implementasi TQM didukung oleh <br />strategi yang mencakup fase persiapan, perencanaan, dan pelaksanaan. Namun, keberhasilan <br />TQM bergantung pada komitmen manajemen, keterlibatan seluruh elemen lembaga, dan <br />penyesuaian metode dengan konteks lokal. Tantangan utama meliputi kesenjangan komitmen <br />manajemen, fokus yang kurang tepat, dan ekspektasi hasil instan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan <br />bahwa TQM dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan Islam jika diterapkan dengan kolaborasi <br />yang kuat dan strategi yang sesuai, sehingga mampu memenuhi kebutuhan stakeholder dan <br />bersaing dalam konteks global.</p> <p>This study aims to examine the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in <br />enhancing the quality of education in Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. Employing a <br />qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with school principals, <br />teachers, and administrative staff, participatory observation of TQM processes, and document <br />analysis, including quality evaluation reports and school policies. Data analysis was conducted <br />thematically, with source and technique triangulation to ensure validity. The findings reveal that <br />TQM focuses on continuous improvement, quality assurance, cultural change, organizational <br />transformation, and maintaining close relationships with customers, including students, parents, <br />and the community. TQM implementation is supported by strategies encompassing preparation, <br />planning, and execution phases. However, its success depends on management commitment, the <br />involvement of all institutional elements, and the adaptation of methods to local contexts. Key <br />challenges include gaps in management commitment, misaligned focus, and expectations of <br />instant results. The study concludes that TQM can enhance the quality of Islamic education when <br />implemented with strong collaboration and tailored strategies, thereby meeting stakeholder <br />needs and competing effectively in a global context</p>Baisuni BaisuniSiti JulaihaAkhmad Muadin
