SURVEI KESEHATAN PELAJAR DAN FASILITAS KESEHATAN DI SDN RANGKAH VI SURABAYA

This study examines the health status and utilization of school health facilities at the elementary school level, focusing on a case study of six students at SDN RANGKAH VI SURABAYA. The health of elementary school students plays a crucial role in the teaching and learning process and their optimal development. Although the number of research subjects was relatively small, a qualitative approach and in-depth observation were used to gain a comprehensive understanding of students' health experiences in the school environment. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with six selected students. The results showed that all six students had a basic understanding of the importance of personal hygiene, but variations in the practice of healthy habits (e.g., washing hands, eating breakfast regularly) were still found. Common health problems reported included coughs, colds, and mild stomachaches, which often affected students' concentration in learning. Regarding school health facilities, the UKS at this school is available but its utilization tends to be limited to handling minor injuries or sudden complaints. The lack of availability of medical personnel, inflexible operating hours, and the lack of interesting health education programs are the main inhibiting factors for optimal utilization of the UKS. The interaction between students and the UKS is often reactive rather than preventive.
Analisa pada status kesehatan dan pemanfaatan fasilitas kesehatan sekolah pada tingkat sekolah dasar, dengan fokus pada studi kasus enam siswa di SDN RANGKAH VI SURABAYA. Kesehatan siswa sekolah dasar memiliki peran krusial dalam proses belajar mengajar dan perkembangan optimal mereka. Meskipun jumlah subjek penelitian tergolong kecil, pendekatan kualitatif dan observasi mendalam digunakan untuk memperoleh pemahaman komprehensif mengenai pengalaman kesehatan siswa di lingkungan sekolah. Data dikumpulkan melalui pemeriksaan mendalam dengan enam siswa terpilih, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keenam siswa memiliki pemahaman dasar tentang pentingnya kebersihan diri, namun variasi dalam praktik kebiasaan sehat (misalnya, cuci tangan, sarapan teratur) masih ditemukan. Masalah kesehatan umum yang dilaporkan meliputi batuk, pilek, dan sakit perut ringan, yang seringkali memengaruhi konsentrasi belajar siswa. Terkait fasilitas kesehatan sekolah, UKS di sekolah ini tersedia namun pemanfaatannya cenderung terbatas pada penanganan cedera ringan atau keluhan mendadak. Ketersediaan tenaga medis yang kurang, jam operasional yang tidak fleksibel, dan kurangnya program edukasi kesehatan yang menarik menjadi faktor penghambat utama pemanfaatan UKS secara optimal. Interaksi antara siswa dengan UKS seringkali bersifat reaktif daripada preventif.
