ANALISIS NILAI-NILAI KEJUJURAN DAN KEADILAN PADA NOVEL TERUSLAH BODOH JANGANLAH PINTAR KARYA TERE LIYE: KAJIAN SOSIOLOGI SASTRA

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai kejujuran dan keadilan dalam novel Teruslah Bodoh Janganlah Pintar karya Tere Liye melalui pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa teknik baca, catat, dan dokumentasi. Data penelitian berupa kutipan narasi, dialog, dan peristiwa yang menunjukkan nilai kejujuran dan keadilan dalam novel. Sumber data penelitian adalah novel Teruslah Bodoh Janganlah Pintar karya Tere Liye cetakan kedelapan tahun 2025. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel tersebut mengandung nilai kejujuran yang meliputi: (1) kejujuran dalam perkataan, (2) kejujuran dalam tindakan, (3) kejujuran terhadap diri sendiri, dan (4) kejujuran dalam tanggung jawab. Selain itu ditemukan nilai keadilan yang meliputi: (1) keadilan sosial, (2) keadilan hak dan kewajiban, (3) keadilan dalam kepemimpinan, dan (4) keadilan dalam perlakuan terhadap sesama. Nilai-nilai tersebut mencerminkan realitas sosial masyarakat serta memiliki fungsi edukatif bagi pembaca. Dengan demikian, novel karya Tere Liye tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai media.

The study aims to describe the values of honesty and justice in the novel Teruslah Bodoh Janganlah Pintar by Tere Liye through a sociological literary approach. The study used a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques including reading, note-taking, and documentation. The research data consisted of narrative excerpts, dialogues, and events that demonstrate the values of honesty and justice in the novel. The research data source are eighth edition of the novel Teruslah Bodoh Janganlah Pintar by Tere Liye, published in 2025. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results showed that the novel contains values of honesty, including: (1) honesty in speech, (2) honesty in action, (3) honesty towards oneself, and (4) honesty in taking responsibility. Furthermore, values of justice were found, including: (1) social justice, (2) justice in rights and obligations, (3) justice in leadership, and (4) justice in treating others. These values reflect the social reality of society and have an educational function for readers. Thus, Tere Liye's novel functions not only as entertainment but also as a medium.
