Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi sektor-sektor ekonomi yang berpotensial, berdaya saing kompetitif, komparatif, maupun spesialisasi, untuk kemudian digunakan sebagai pendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi dan pengembangan wilayah kabupaten Kotabaru. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder dan ti,e series. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa berdasarkan hasil analisis Location Quotient (LQ), sektor yang teridentifikasi sebagai sektor basis adalah pertambangan dan Penggalian, Berdasarkan hasil Analisa gabungan ditemukan sektor unggulan, sektor andalan, sektor prospekti dan sektor tertinggal di Kabupaten Kotabaru.
The aim of this research is to identify potential, competitive, comparative and specialized economic sectors, to then be used as a driver of economic growth and development of the Kotabaru district area. The data used in this research are secondary data and data series. The results of this research show that based on the results of the Location Quotient (LQ) analysis, the sector identified as the base sector is mining and quarrying. Based on the results of the combined analysis, it was found that the leading sector, the mainstay sector, the prospecting sector and the underdeveloped sector in Kotabaru Regency.
