IMPELEMENTASI PEMBATASAN AKSES UNTUK EFISIENSI JARINGAN WIRELESS PADA KANTOR CAMAT ANGKONA KABUPATEN LUWU TIMUR

Abstrak

Penelitian ini dapat memberikan alasan dari permasalahan yang terjadi di Kantor Camat Angkona, pada penggunaan bandwidthnya yang tidak terkendali serta jumalah pengguna yang terhubung ke jaringan internet, yang berdampak langsung pada menurunnya kualitas koneksi internet, khususnya dalam hal kecepatan akses. Kondisi tersebut menyebabkan jaringan menjadi lambat dan tidak stabil, sehingga menggangu aktivitas kerja dan produktivitas pegawai. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab utama dari permasalahan tersebut serta  mengembangkan sistem pembatasan akses guna meningkatkan efisiensi jaringan Wireless di kantor tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Network Development Life Cyle (NDLC) yang mencakup tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Solusi yang di kembangkan mencakup penerapan kebijakan pembatasan akses, pengelolaan bandwidth, serta peningkatan sistem keamanan melalui autentikasi pengguna. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat di implementasi untuk menunjukkan bahwa pembatasan akses jaringan dengan menerapkan sistem hotspot Mikrotik menggunakan aplikasi winbox, setiap pengguna diatur melalui login di setiap individu yang sesuai dengan jabataan, serta pembagian bandwidth dilakukan untuk menghindari penyalahgunaan akses. Kesimpulannya, penerapan pembatasan akses yang sesuai terbukti mampu meningkatkan efisiensi jaringan wireless secara signifikan, memberikan pengalaman akses yang lebih baik bagi pengguna, dan mendukung  produktivitas operasional Kantor Camat Angkona dengan membatasi penggunaan hanya bagi pengguna.

This research can provide the reasons for the problems that occur in the Angkona Sub-district Office, on the uncontrolled use of bandwidth and the number of users connected to the internet network, which has a direct impact on the decline in the quality of the internet connection, especially in terms of access speed. This condition causes the network to be slow and unstable, thus disrupting work activities and employee productivity. Therefore, this research aims to identify the main causes of these problems and develop an access restriction system to improve the efficiency of the Wireless network in the office. This research uses the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) method which includes the stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation. The solutions developed include the implementation of access restriction policies, bandwidth management, and improving the security system through user authentication. From the results of this research, it can be implemented to show that network access restrictions by implementing a Mikrotik hotspot system using the Winbox application, each user is managed through logins for each individual according to their position, and bandwidth sharing is carried out to avoid misuse of access. In conclusion, the implementation of appropriate access restrictions has been proven to be able to significantly improve the efficiency of the wireless network, provide a better access experience for users, and support the operational productivity of the Angkona Sub-district Office by limiting usage only to users.
