Abstrak

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Peran Kegiatan Ekstrakurikuler Pramuka dalam Membina Karakter Disiplin Siswa di SMA Swasta Tunas Kelapa Samarinda. Selain itu, perencanaan dalam ekstrakurikuler pramuka, pelaksanaan kegiatan dalam ekstrakurikuler pramuka, dan hasil kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pramuka dalam membina karakter disiplin siswa. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu deskritif dengan pendekatan metode kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Swasta Tunas Kelapa Samarinda. Subjek pada penelitian ini yaitu Pembina Pramuka dan Siswa/Siswi kelas XI IPA. Penelitian ini juga dilakukan menggunakan teknik observasi wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pramuka sangat membantu dalam membina karakter disiplin siswa di SMA Swasta Tunas Kelapa Samarinda. Melalui pelatihan dan pelaksanaan berbagai kegiatan-kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pramuka yang ada di SMA Swasta Tunas Kelapa Samarinda dapat disimpulkan bahwa seluruh kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pramuka dapat membina dan membentuk karakter disiplin siswa. Hal ini didasarkan pada perubahan tingkah laku serta bentuk kedisiplinan para siswa setelah mengikuti ekstrakurikuler pramuka. Mereka lebih menghargai waktu dengan tidak terlambat saat datang ke sekolah dan patuh dalam menggunakan atribut sesuai ketentuan yang berlaku. Dengan begitu, setelah mengikuti ekstrakurikuler pramuka, para siswa merasa lebih disiplin dan lebih mentaati peraturan yang telah ditetapkan.

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of Scouting extracurricular activities in fostering students' disciplined character at Tunas Kelapa Samarinda Private High School. In addition, planning in scouting extracurricular activities, implementation of scouting extracurricular activities, and the results of scouting extracurricular activities in fostering students' disciplined character were also investigated. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative method approach. This research was conducted at Tunas Kelapa Samarinda Private High School. The subjects in this study were Scout Leaders and students of class XI IPA. This research was also conducted using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that scouting extracurricular activities are very helpful in fostering the disciplined character of students at Tunas Kelapa Samarinda Private High School. Through training and implementation of various scouting extracurricular activities at Tunas Kelapa Samarinda Private High School, it can be concluded that all scouting extracurricular activities can foster and shape the disciplined character of students. This is based on changes in behavior and forms of discipline of students after participating in scouting extracurricular activities. They value time more by not being late when coming to school and complying with using attributes according to applicable regulations. Thus, after participating in scouting extracurricular activities, students feel more disciplined and more obedient to the established rules.
