TINJAUAN KRITIS PENGGUNAAN LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LMS) DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PAI DI TINGKAT PERGURUAN TINGGI

Penelitian ini berpijak pada transformasi digital di Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam yang menempatkan Learning Management System (LMS) sebagai infrastruktur utama pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Namun, integrasi ini menghadapi tantangan filosofis di mana LMS sering kali sekadar menjadi alat administratif distribusi materi, alih-alih ruang transformasi karakter. Fenomena kekeruhan pedagogis muncul saat interaksi asinkron mendegradasi esensi ta’dib serta hubungan spiritual antara dosen dan mahasiswa. Tinjauan kritis ini bertujuan mengevaluasi dampak LMS terhadap metodologi PAI berbasis keteladanan (uswah) di era disrupsi. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi literatur (library research) deskriptif-analitis. Data dihimpun melalui penelusuran sistematis dokumen kebijakan dan artikel jurnal ilmiah periode 2020–2025. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis isi (content analysis) dengan kerangka teori TPACK yang diintegrasikan dengan filsafat pendidikan Islam guna merumuskan solusi konstruktif terhadap efektivitas platform digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LMS memberikan efisiensi aksesibilitas, namun cenderung terjebak pada tingkat kognitif rendah dan minim internalisasi nilai. Temuan mengidentifikasi adanya "gap adab" akibat terbatasnya ruang dialogis dan keteladanan langsung. Selain itu, evaluasi digital sering mengabaikan integritas akademik serta perkembangan afektif. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa optimalisasi PAI menuntut pergeseran paradigma menuju ekosistem hybrid yang menyeimbangkan kecanggihan fitur digital dengan kedalaman nilai Rahmatan lil ‘Alamin.
This research is based on the digital transformation in Islamic Religious Higher Education (PAI) that places the Learning Management System (LMS) as the primary infrastructure for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. However, this integration faces philosophical challenges, as the LMS often serves merely as an administrative tool for distributing materials, rather than a space for character transformation. The phenomenon of pedagogical ambiguity arises when asynchronous interactions degrade the essence of ta'dib (religious guidance) and the spiritual connection between lecturers and students. This critical review aims to evaluate the impact of the LMS on the exemplary (uswah)-based PAI methodology in the era of disruption. The research methodology employed a qualitative, descriptive-analytical library research approach. Data were collected through a systematic search of policy documents and scientific journal articles from 2020–2025. The data analysis technique employed content analysis with the TPACK theoretical framework integrated with Islamic educational philosophy to formulate constructive solutions to the effectiveness of digital platforms. The results show that the LMS provides efficient accessibility, but tends to be stuck at a low cognitive level and lacks internalization of values. The findings identify an "adab gap" due to limited dialogic space and direct role models. Furthermore, digital evaluation often neglects academic integrity and affective development. The study concluded that optimizing Islamic Religious Education (PAI) requires a paradigm shift toward a hybrid ecosystem that balances sophisticated digital features with the depth of Rahmatan lil 'Alamin (blessings for the universe).
