Kepiting bakau (Scylla serrata) merupakan salah satu biota laut yang berasosiasi di area hutan bakau di wilayah iklim tropis khususnya di daerah pantai yang dipengaruhi pasang surut Tujuan penelitian ini Mengidentifikasi dan Menganalisis biomorfometrik kepiting bakau (Scylla serrata) tentang ukuran lebar karapas dan berat kepiting bakau, nisbah kelamin, dan faktor kondisi penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif eksploratif. Hasil dari penelitian tentang biomorfometrik kepiting bakau (Scylla serrata) pada area restorasi mangrove di Kota Langsa dapat disimpulkan bahwa pola pertumbuhan kepiting bakau betina dan jantan bersifat allometrik negatif. kisaran ukuran lebar karapas pada stasiun A jantan yaitu 30,9 – 86,8 mm, dan berat 23,8-106,4 g kepiting betina 49,1-97,8 mm berat 21,9-140,8 g, stasiun B memiliki kisaran lebar karapas Jantan 31,8 – 81,1 mm dan berat kepiting 26,5-107,8 g kepiting betina 42,5-90,4 mm dan berat 32,3-135,7 g pada stasiun C memiliki kisaran lebar karapas jantan 33,5-91,8 dan berat kepiting 26,3-177,4 g betina 35,6-74,6 mm dan berat 24,5-128,9 g. Hasil nilai yangdidapatkan pada kepitingbakau jantan berkisar 0,539– 0,876 dan kepiting bakau betina berkisar 0,011– 0,876. Nilai faktor kondisi tertinggi untuk kepiting betina yaitu betina berkisar 1,044 – 1,068, Sedangkan untuk jantan berkisar 1,044-1,068.
Mangrove crab (Scylla serrata) is one of the marine biota associated with mangrove forest areas in tropical climates, especially in coastal areas influenced by tides The purpose of this study was to identify and analyse the biomorphometrics of mangrove crabs (Scylla serrata) regarding the size of the carapace width and weight of mangrove crabs, sex ratio, and condition factors using exploratory descriptive methods. The results of the research on mangrove crab biomorphometrics (Scylla serrata) in the mangrove restoration area in Langsa City can be concluded that the growth pattern of female and male mangrove crabs is negative allometric. The range of carapace width sizes at station A males are 30.9 - 86.8 mm, and weight 23.8-106.4 g female crabs 49.1-97.8 mm weight 21.9-140.8 g, station B has a range of carapace width males 31.8 - 81,1 mm and crab weight 26.5-107.8 g female crab 42.5-90.4 mm and weight 32.3-135.7 g at station C has a range of male carapace width 33.5-91.8 and crab weight 26.3-177.4 g female 35.6-74.6 mm and weight 24.5-128.9 g. Station B has a range of carapace width 33.5-91.8 and crab weight 26.3-177.4 g and weight 24.5-128.9 g. The values obtained in male mud crabs ranged from 0.539 to 0.876 and female mud crabs ranged from 0.011 to 0.876. The highest condition factor values for female crabs were females ranging from 1.044 - 1.068, while for males ranging from 1.044-1.068.
