PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN VIDEO TUTORIAL PENGAWASAN MUTU PRODUK BUSANA MENJAHIT ROMPI KELAS XI TATA BUSANA DI SMK SWASTA PUTRA ANDA BINJAI

Pemahaman siswa kelas XI Tata Busana di SMK Swasta Putra Anda Binjai terhadap materi menjahit rompi, khususnya pada tahap pengawasan mutu produk busana, masih kurang optimal. Siswa sering mengalami kesulitan dalam proses penyambungan lapis kancing dengan bahan furing, pemasangan depun, serta penyelesaian akhir busana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan menguji kelayakan media pembelajaran video tutorial sebagai sarana untuk membantu siswa memahami langkah-langkah menjahit rompi secara sistematis dan mandiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D, yang meliputi tahap Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. Instrumen pengumpulan data mencakup angket kebutuhan guru dan siswa, validasi ahli materi, validasi ahli media, serta uji coba kepada pengguna. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan skala Likert untuk menilai kelayakan media, dan skala Guttman untuk mengukur kebutuhan pengguna. Berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, diperoleh rata-rata skor kelayakan masing-masing sebesar 91% dan 94%, keduanya termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Layak”. Hasil uji coba kepada siswa juga menunjukkan nilai kelayakan sebesar 92%, dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa media video tutorial yang dikembangkan efektif dan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi pengawasan mutu menjahit rompi. Media ini dapat diakses secara online maupun offline, sehingga mendukung pembelajaran mandiri sesuai dengan prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka.
The understanding of Grade XI Fashion Design students at SMK Swasta Putra Anda Binjai regarding the material on vest sewing, particularly in the aspect of clothing product quality control, is still not optimal. Students often experience difficulties in several stages such as joining the button lap with the lining fabric, attaching the facing, and completing the final finishing process. This study aims to design and assess the feasibility of video tutorial learning media as a tool to help students understand the steps of sewing a vest systematically and independently. This research applies the Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model, which includes the stages of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The data collection instruments consisted of student and teacher needs questionnaires, material expert validation, media expert validation, and user trials. The data were analyzed quantitatively using the Likert scale to determine media feasibility and the Guttman scale to measure user needs. Based on the results of expert validation, the average feasibility scores obtained were 91% from material experts and 94% from media experts, both categorized as “Highly Feasible.” The results of student trials also showed a feasibility score of 92%, categorized as “Very Good.” These findings indicate that the developed video tutorial learning media is effective and suitable for use in learning materials on quality control of vest sewing. The media can be accessed online and offline, supporting independent learning in accordance with the Merdeka Curriculum.
