PERAN GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM PROGRAM PEMBIASAAN KEAGAMAAN UNTUK MEMBENTUK KARAKTER RELIGIUS SISWA (STUDI KASUS DI MTs NEGERI 13 JOMBANG)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam program pembiasaan keagamaan untuk membentuk karakter religius siswa di MTsN 13 Jombang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data diuji melalui uji kredibilitas, dependability, dan konfirmability. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI memiliki peran strategis sebagai pendidik, pembimbing, motivator, dan teladan dalam pelaksanaan program pembiasaan keagamaan. Program pembiasaan keagamaan di MTsN 13 Jombang meliputi salat dhuha berjamaah, salat dzuhur berjamaah, tahlil, dan istighosah yang dilaksanakan secara rutin dan terjadwal. Kegiatan tersebut tidak hanya meningkatkan kedisiplinan dan partisipasi siswa dalam beribadah, tetapi juga membentuk kesadaran religius, tanggung jawab, serta akhlak mulia dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Peran guru yang dilakukan melalui pendekatan pembiasaan, keteladanan, dan motivasi terbukti mampu mendorong internalisasi nilai-nilai Islam pada diri siswa sehingga mereka tidak hanya beribadah karena kewajiban sekolah, tetapi juga karena kesadaran pribadi. Selain itu, keberhasilan program pembiasaan keagamaan didukung oleh komitmen sekolah, kerja sama antar guru, dukungan orang tua, serta ketersediaan fasilitas ibadah yang memadai. Namun demikian, terdapat beberapa hambatan seperti perbedaan latar belakang siswa, rendahnya kesadaran sebagian siswa, pengaruh lingkungan luar, penggunaan gawai, keterbatasan waktu, serta kondisi kelas yang kurang kondusif. Meskipun demikian, hambatan tersebut dapat diatasi melalui bimbingan, pengawasan, motivasi, dan keteladanan yang konsisten dari guru PAI. Dengan demikian, program pembiasaan keagamaan di MTsN 13 Jombang efektif dalam membentuk dan memperkuat karakter religius siswa.
This study aims to describe the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in the religious habituation program to shape the religious character of students at MTsN 13 Jombang. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data was tested through credibility, dependability, and confirmability tests. The results of the study indicate that PAI teachers have a strategic role as educators, guides, motivators, and role models in the implementation of the religious habituation program. The religious habituation program at MTsN 13 Jombang includes congregational dhuha prayers, congregational dzuhur prayers, tahlil, and istighosah which are carried out routinely and on schedule. These activities not only increase student discipline and participation in worship, but also shape religious awareness, responsibility, and noble morals in everyday life. The role of teachers through a habituation approach, role modeling, and motivation has been proven to encourage the internalization of Islamic values in students, so that they worship not only because of school obligations but also out of personal awareness. Furthermore, the success of the religious habituation program is supported by school commitment, cooperation between teachers, parental support, and the availability of adequate prayer facilities. However, several obstacles exist, such as differences in student backgrounds, low awareness among some students, external environmental influences, gadget use, time constraints, and less conducive classroom conditions. Nevertheless, these obstacles can be overcome through consistent guidance, supervision, motivation, and role modeling by Islamic Religious Education teachers. Thus, the religious habituation program at MTsN 13 Jombang is effective in shaping and strengthening students' religious character.
