STRATEGI KEPALA MADRASAH DALAM MENGIMPLEMENTASIKAN KURIKULUM MERDEKA DI MAN 4 JOMBANG

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi kepala madrasah dalam mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka di MAN 4 Jombang berdasarkan perspektif manajemen strategis Fred R. David. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi kepala madrasah mencakup tiga tahap utama. Pada tahap perencanaan, dilakukan analisis kebijakan, peningkatan kompetensi guru melalui pelatihan, pembentukan tim implementasi, serta revisi Kurikulum Operasional Madrasah dan perangkat pembelajaran. Pada tahap implementasi, strategi diwujudkan melalui penerapan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) dan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi yang berorientasi pada penguatan karakter dan kebutuhan belajar peserta didik. Pada tahap evaluasi, dilakukan monitoring pembelajaran dan Penilaian Kinerja Guru (PKG) yang dilanjutkan dengan pembinaan serta pendampingan guru sebagai bentuk tindak lanjut perbaikan berkelanjutan. Temuan penelitian juga mengungkap adanya kendala berupa resistensi sebagian guru terhadap perubahan kurikulum yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor mindset dan budaya organisasi. Namun, hal tersebut diatasi melalui pendekatan persuasif, dialogis, dan pembinaan berkelanjutan oleh kepala madrasah. Secara keseluruhan, implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di MAN 4 Jombang menunjukkan kesesuaian dengan tahapan manajemen strategis Fred R. David, di mana keberhasilan sangat dipengaruhi oleh kepemimpinan strategis, kesiapan sumber daya manusia, serta kemampuan organisasi dalam mengelola perubahan secara berkelanjutan.
This study aims to analyze the madrasah principal's strategy in implementing the Independent Curriculum at MAN 4 Jombang based on Fred R. David's strategic management perspective. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the madrasah principal's strategy encompasses three main stages. In the planning stage, policy analysis was conducted, teacher competency improvement through training, the formation of an implementation team, and revisions to the Madrasah Operational Curriculum and learning tools. In the implementation stage, the strategy was realized through the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) and differentiated learning oriented towards strengthening the character and learning needs of students. In the evaluation stage, learning monitoring and Teacher Performance Assessment (PKG) were carried out, followed by teacher coaching and mentoring as a form of follow-up for continuous improvement. The research findings also revealed obstacles in the form of resistance among some teachers to curriculum changes influenced by mindset and organizational culture factors. However, this was overcome through a persuasive, dialogical approach and continuous coaching by the madrasah principal. Overall, the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at MAN 4 Jombang shows its conformity with Fred R. David's strategic management stages, where success is greatly influenced by strategic leadership, human resource readiness, and the organization's ability to manage change sustainably.
