THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE TOCEN ECONOMY TECHNIQUE IN INCREASING THE ACTIVE PARTICIPATION OF MAHAD UIN MALANG STUDENTS IN QURAN RECITATION ACTIVITIES

Partisipasi aktif mahasantri dalam kegiatan tashih Al-Qur’an menjadi salah satu faktor penting dalam menunjang keberhasilan pembelajaran di lingkungan ma’had. Namun, rendahnya keterlibatan mahasantri masih ditemukan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan tashih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas teknik Tocen Economy dalam meningkatkan partisipasi aktif mahasantri pada kegiatan tashih Al-Qur’an di Mabna Fatimah Azzahra UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest-posttest yang melibatkan 33 mahasantri putri. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan adaptasi Student Engagement Scale yang telah dinyatakan reliabel dengan nilai Alpha Cronbach sebesar 0,95. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknik Tocen Economy mampu meningkatkan partisipasi aktif mahasantri secara signifikan, baik pada aspek perilaku, emosional, maupun kognitif selama kegiatan tashih berlangsung. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Tocen Economy dapat menjadi strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan mahasantri dalam kegiatan keagamaan di lingkungan ma’had.
The active participation of students in Qur’an recitation correction activities is a key factor in supporting the success of learning within the ma’had environment. However, low student engagement is still observed in the implementation of these correction activities. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Tocen Economy technique in increasing the active participation of female students in Quranic recitation correction activities at Mabna Fatimah Azzahra, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim, Malang. The study employed a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 33 female students. Data collection was conducted using an adapted Student Engagement Scale, which has been validated as reliable with a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.95. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The results of the study indicate that the application of the Tocen Economy technique significantly increased the female students’ active participation in behavioral, emotional, and cognitive aspects during the Quran recitation correction activities. These findings suggest that the Tocen Economy can serve as an effective learning strategy to enhance students’ engagement in religious activities within the ma’had environment.
