PANDANGAN SEKOLAH SMP NEGERI 40 MEDAN TERHADAP PENERAPAN KURIKULUM MERDEKA

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan pandangan guru SMP Negeri 40 Medan terhadap penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka. Permasalahan utama adalah sejauh mana guru bisa menyelaraskan pembelajaran terhadap karakteristik siswa serta tantangan yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa guru menyambut positif fleksibilitas Kurikulum Merdeka dan menerapkan metode inovatif seperti project-based learning, meskipun dihadapkan pada kendala seperti kurangnya pemahaman konsep, keterbatasan sarana digital, dan kesiapan siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan perlunya pelatihan berkelanjutan dan dukungan infrastruktur untuk memperkuat implementasi kurikulum.
This study was conducted to describe the views of teachers at SMP Negeri 40 Medan on the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. The main problem is the extent to which teachers can align learning with student characteristics and the challenges faced in implementing the curriculum. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with observation, interview, and documentation study techniques. The results show that teachers welcome the flexibility of the Independent Curriculum and apply innovative methods such as project-based learning, despite being faced with obstacles such as lack of understanding of concepts, limited digital facilities, and student readiness. This study concludes the need for ongoing training and infrastructure support to strengthen the implementation of the curriculum.
