PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS TEKS PIDATO MELALUI MODEL EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING PADA SISWA KELAS VIII.3 SMP NEGERI 1 PARINDU

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks pidato siswa kelas VIII.3 SMP Negeri 1 Parindu melalui model pembelajaran Experiential Learning. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal, diketahui bahwa keterampilan menulis siswa masih rendah, khususnya dalam memahami struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan teks pidato. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus, dengan setiap siklus terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes menulis, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Experiential Learning secara signifikan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Presentase ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 36% pada pra-siklus menjadi 63% di siklus I dan 91% pada siklus II. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Experiential Learning efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks pidato.
This study aims to improve the speech writing skills of class VIII.3 students of SMP Negeri 1 Parindu through the Experiential Learning learning model. Based on the results of initial observations, it is known that students' writing skills are still low, especially in understanding the structure and linguistic rules of speech texts. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observation, writing tests, and interviews. The results showed that the application of the Experiential Learning model significantly improved student learning outcomes. The percentage of learning completeness increased from 36% in the pre-cycle to 63% in cycle I and 91% in cycle II. This study concluded that Experiential Learning is effective in improving speech writing skills.
