Abstrak

Radikalisme merupakan paham yang menuntut perubahan sosial dan politik secara mendasar dan berpotensi mengancam persatuan bangsa, termasuk di lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami fenomena radikalisme serta upaya pencegahannya di Madrasah Aliyah Vokasi Al-Fajar Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek peserta didik kelas X. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui sosialisasi, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian siswa belum memahami istilah radikalisme, namun menunjukkan antusiasme dan peningkatan kesadaran setelah kegiatan sosialisasi. Pencegahan radikalisme dapat dilakukan melalui penguatan Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan, nilai-nilai Pancasila, serta pendidikan agama yang moderat dan toleran.

Radicalism is an ideology that demands fundamental social and political change and poses a potential threat to national unity, including within the school environment. This study aims to examine the phenomenon of radicalism and its prevention efforts at Madrasah Aliyah Vokasi Al-Fajar Pekanbaru. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving tenth-grade students as research subjects. Data were collected through socialization activities, observation, and documentation studies. The findings indicate that although some students were initially unfamiliar with the term radicalism, they demonstrated enthusiasm and increased awareness following the socialization activities. Preventive efforts against radicalism can be strengthened through civic education, the internalization of Pancasila values, and the implementation of moderate and tolerant religious education.
