Abstrak

Al-Qur’an adalah kitab suci utama umat Islam yang wajib dijaga keaslian dan keberkahannya melalui pembacaan dan penghafalan. Menghafal Al-Qur’an di pesantren melibatkan tidak hanya kemampuan kognitif, tetapi juga aspek afektif seperti motivasi dan kecerdasan emosional santri. Meskipun penghafal diharapkan berakhlak mulia, berbagai kasus negatif yang viral menunjukkan perlunya pembinaan afektif dan karakter yang menyeluruh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji afeksi santri penghafal Al-Qur'an di Diniyyah Puteri Padang Panjang. Menghafal Al-Qur'an bukan hanya aktivitas kognitif, tetapi juga melibatkan aspek afektif seperti motivasi, sikap, dan kecerdasan emosional, yang sangat memengaruhi keberhasilan proses menghafal. Santri penghafal yang tergabung dalam program khusus seperti Mulazamah dan I'dad menghadapi berbagai tantangan psikologis dan emosional dalam menjaga kualitas hafalan mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, serta purposive sampling dengan 28 santri sebagai informan utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum santri memiliki afeksi yang sangat positif. Lima aspek afeksi yakni autonomy, inisiatif, industry, self-concept, dan self-esteem menunjukkan tingkat yang sangat baik, ditandai dengan kemandirian dalam menjalankan tugas, kesadaran diri, semangat kerja keras, serta penghargaan dan pengelolaan diri yang baik. Rasa percaya (trust) terhadap Allah SWT sangat kuat sebagai fondasi spiritual, namun rasa percaya diri terhadap kemampuan sendiri dan orang lain masih perlu pengembangan karena sejumlah santri belum nyaman tampil di depan umum atau berbagi masalah

The Qur’an is the main holy book of Muslims, whose authenticity and blessings must be preserved through recitation and memorization. Memorizing the Qur’an in pesantren involves not only cognitive abilities but also affective aspects such as the motivation and emotional intelligence of the students. Although memorizers are expected to have noble character, various viral negative cases show the need for comprehensive affective and character development. Diniyyah Puteri Padang Panjang, with an educational program aligned with solutions to these phenomena, becomes the research site to study the affection of Quran memorizers. This research aims to examine the affection of Quran memorizing students at Diniyyah Puteri Padang Panjang. Memorization is not solely a cognitive activity but also involves affective components such as motivation, attitude, and emotional intelligence, greatly influencing the success of the memorization process. Students enrolled in special programs like Mulazamah and I'dad face various psychological and emotional challenges in maintaining the quality of their memorization. This study employs a qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation, with purposive sampling of 28 students as primary informants. The results showed that, generally, students have very positive affection. Five affective aspects autonomy, initiative, industry, self-concept, and self-esteem demonstrate excellent levels, characterized by independence in completing tasks, self-awareness, strong work ethic, and good self-appreciation and management. Trust in Allah SWT is very strong as a spiritual foundation, but trust in oneself and others still needs development, as some students are not yet comfortable appearing in public or sharing their problems.Abstracts are made in two languages, English and Bahasa Indonesia.
