GAMBARAN SUBJECTIVE WELL-BEING PADA PENDERITA DIABETES MELITUS DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS PAKAN KAMIS TAHUN 2024

Diabetes melitus is a chronic metabolic disorder with multiple etiologies which is characterized by high blood sugar levels accompanied by disorder of carbohydrate, lipid and protein metabolism as a result of insulin function insufficiency. Increased blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus sufferes can be overcome with 5 pillars and subjective well- being is really needed. Subjective Well-Being needs to be improved because it is considered as the fisrt step to help sufferers face and accept their conditionin carrying out treatment. The aim of this study was to determine the subjective well-being picture of diabetes mellitus patient who were assessed using the SWLS questionnaire. This research is a descriptive study with a deskriptif research design. The sample for this research consisted of 121 respondents taken using the simple random sampling method. The result of this study showed that a group of diabetes mellitus sufferes had low subjective well-being, namely 88 respondents (72,7%), and diabetes mellitus patients had high subjective well-being, namely 33 respondents (27,3%). The conclusion is that the subjective well-being of diabetes mellitus patients in the Pakan Kamis health center working area is in the low category, namely 84 respondents (72,7%).
