An. M mengalami penurunan suhu sebesar 1°C sedangkan An. K mengalami penurunan suhu sebesar 0,5 °C.

Background: Fever is a physiological response to infection, characterized by an increase in body temperature above normal (>37°C), which can be caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, or parasites. According to WHO, global fever cases reach approximately 18–34 million. One non-pharmacological intervention to reduce fever is the application of a water tepid sponge compress. Objective: To determine the effect of water tepid sponge compress application on body temperature in patients with hyperthermia. Methods: This study employed a descriptive method with a case study design involving two respondents with hyperthermia. Respondents were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The tepid sponge compress intervention was applied for 15 minutes in one day, and body temperature was measured using a thermometer. Results: Based on the results of the intervention, there was a decrease in the children's body temperature after being given a tepid water sponge compress. Patient M experienced a temperature reduction of 1°C, while Patient K experienced a reduction of 0.5°C. Conclusion: Water tepid sponge compresses are effective in reducing body temperature in pediatric patients with hyperthermia.
