Setelah diberikan intervensi warm water footbath selama 15 menit, terjadi penurunan suhu tubuh. Pada pasien An.
Background: Background: Hyperthermia is a condition in which body temperature exceeds normal limits due to increased activity in the temperature-regulating centre of the hypothalamus. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of warm water footbaths in reducing hyperthermia in children at Dr Soeratno Gemolong General Hospital. Methods: This study employed a descriptive method using a case study approach involving two children aged 6–12 years who were experiencing hyperthermia. Results: The results showed that prior to the intervention, the participants had elevated body temperatures. Following a 15-minute warm water footbath intervention, a decrease in body temperature was observed. In patient An. F, body temperature decreased from 38.0°C to 37.7°C (a decrease of 0.3°C), whilst in An. P, body temperature decreased from 37.8°C to 37.5°C (a decrease of 0.3°C). It can therefore be concluded that the application of warm water footbaths is proven to be effective in reducing body temperature in patients with hyperthermia. Conclusion: There is a difference in body temperature before and after warm water footbath therapy in paediatric patients with hyperthermia.
