STRATEGI MISI DALAM KONTEKS KEBUDAYAAN ADAT TULUDE DI KEPULAUAN SANGIHE

Abstrak

Adat Tulude Merupakan upacara syukur tradisional yang kaya akan simbolisme dan nilai- nilai sosial budaya masyarakat Sangihe. Dalam upaya memperkenalkan ajaran Kristen, penting untuk mempertimbangkan budaya setempat agar proses inkulturasi berjalan harmonis. Artikel ini meneliti interaksi antara adat Tulude dengan pelaksanaan misi Kristen, serta tantangan dan peluang yang muncul dari proses ini. Melalui metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, ditemukan bahwa pendekatan misi yang menghormati tradisi lokal, termasuk perayaan Tulude, dapat memperkuat penerimaan masyarakat terhadap ajaran Kristen. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya keselarasan antara misi gereja dan praktik budaya lokal dalam rangka menciptakan dialog yang sehat antara iman dan budaya.

The Tulude custom is a traditional thanksgiving ceremony rich in symbolism and socio- cultural values of the Sangihe community. In an effort to introduce Christian teachings, it is important to consider the local culture so that the inculturation process runs harmoniously. This article examines the interaction between the Tulude custom and the implementation of Christian missions, as well as the challenges and opportunities that arise from this process. Through a qualitative method with a case study approach, it was found that a mission approach that respects local traditions, including the Tulude celebration, can strengthen community acceptance of Christian teachings. This study emphasizes the importance of harmony between the church’s mission and local cultural practices in order to create a healthy dialogue between faith and culture.
