PERAN BADAN USAHA MILIK DESA (BUMDES) DALAM MENINGKATKAN PEMBERDAYAAN EKONOMI MASYARAKAT DESA BABOKERONG

Abstrak

Desa sebagai entitas terkecil dalam struktur pemerintahan memainkan peran penting dalam pembangunan sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat. Namun, banyak desa di Indonesia yang masih berhadapan dengan berbagai hambatan dalam mencapai kemandirian ekonomi. Salah satu langkah untuk memperbaiki kesejahteraan penduduk desa adalah dengan mendirikan Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDES), yang bertindak sebagai pendorong bagi perekonomian setempat. Kegiatan sosialisasi Peran BUMDes Dalam Meningkatkan Pemberdayaan Ekonomi Masyarakat Di Desa Babokerong bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pengelolaan BUMDES dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat menuju Desa Mandiri. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini melibatkan yaitu : tahap Persiapan Program penyuluhan, tahap sosialisasi, dan tahap evaluasi. Hasil observasi di desa Babokerong, Kecamatan Nagawutung, Kabupaten Lembata. Menunjukan bahwa masyarakat setempat masih menghadapi hambatan dalam mengelola BUMDes, yang menyebapkan ketidakaktifan BUMDes Di Desa Babokerong, selama lima tahun terakhir. Karena itu, pengembangan kemampuan BUMDes sangat penting untuk mendukung penguatan ekonomi agar desa dapat mandiri. Kegiatan sosialisasi yang dilakukan telah Meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat desa mengenai pentingnya pemanfaatan aset dan potensi lokal melalui BUMDes untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan bersama. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini berkontribusi signifikan terhadap pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat dan menuju desa mandiri.

The village as the smallest entity in the government structure plays an important role in the social and economic development of society. However, many villages in Indonesia are still faced with various obstacles in achieving economic independence. One of the steps to improve the welfare of the villagers is to establish village-owned enterprises (BUMDES), which act as a driver for the local economy. Socialization of the role of BUMDes in improving the Economic Empowerment of the community in Babokerong village aims to increase the capacity of BUMDES management in empowering the community's economy towards an independent Village. The method of implementation of this service involves: the preparation stage of the extension Program, socialization stage, and evaluation stage. The results of observations in Babokerong village, Nagawutung District, Lembata Regency. Shows that the local community still faces obstacles in managing BUMDes, which causes the inactivity of BUMDes in Babokerong village, for the last five years. Therefore, the development of BUMDes capabilities is very important to support economic strengthening so that the village can be independent. The socialization activities carried out have increased the knowledge and awareness of the village community about the importance of utilizing local assets and potential through BUMDes to improve collective welfare. Thus, this activity contributes significantly to the economic empowerment of the community and towards an independent village.
