IMPLEMENTASI TEKNIK PEMIJATAN MARMET PADA MASALAH MENYUSUI TIDAK EFEKTIF IBU POSTPARTUM SECTIO CAESAREA DI RUANG NIFAS RSD KALISAT JEMBER

Abstrak

Menyusui tidak efektif merupakan masalah yang sering terjadi pada ibu postpartum Sectio Caesarea akibat keterlambatan pengeluaran ASI, nyeri pasca operasi, dan keterbatasan mobilisasi. Kondisi ini dapat menyebabkan kebutuhan nutrisi bayi tidak terpenuhi secara optimal sehingga diperlukan intervensi untuk membantu meningkatkan pengeluaran ASI. Salah satu tindakan nonfarmakologis yang dapat dilakukan adalah teknik pemijatan Marmet. Tujuan studi kasus ini adalah mengetahui implementasi teknik pemijatan Marmet pada ibu postpartum Sectio Caesarea dengan masalah menyusui tidak efektif di ruang nifas RSD Kalisat Jember. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus deskriptif pada satu klien dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, pemeriksaan fisik, dan dokumentasi. Implementasi teknik pemijatan Marmet dilakukan selama dua hari berturut-turut dengan durasi 15–20 menit setiap sesi. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengeluaran ASI dari sekitar 3–5 tetes pada hari pertama menjadi 8–10 tetes pada hari kedua. Selain itu, bayi mulai mampu melekat pada payudara dengan lebih baik, frekuensi menyusu meningkat, dan ibu tampak lebih percaya diri selama proses menyusui. Berdasarkan hasil studi kasus, teknik pemijatan Marmet dapat membantu meningkatkan pengeluaran ASI dan mendukung keberhasilan menyusui pada ibu postpartum Sectio Caesarea dengan masalah menyusui tidak efektif.

Ineffective breastfeeding is a common problem experienced by postpartum Sectio Caesarea mothers due to delayed breast milk production, postoperative pain, and limited mobility. This condition may prevent infants from receiving optimal nutritional intake, therefore appropriate interventions are needed to improve breast milk secretion. One of the non-pharmacological interventions that can be applied is the Marmet massage technique. This case study aimed to describe the implementation of the Marmet massage technique in a postpartum Sectio Caesarea mother with ineffective breastfeeding at the postpartum ward of RSD Kalisat Jember. The study employed a descriptive case study design involving one client. Data were collected through interviews, observation, physical examination, and documentation. The Marmet massage technique was implemented for two consecutive days with a duration of 15–20 minutes in each session. The results showed an increase in breast milk secretion from approximately 3–5 drops on the first day to 8–10 drops on the second day. In addition, the infant was able to latch onto the breast more effectively, breastfeeding frequency increased, and the mother appeared more confident during the breastfeeding process. Based on the findings of this case study, the Marmet massage technique can help increase breast milk secretion and support successful breastfeeding in postpartum Sectio Caesarea mothers experiencing ineffective breastfeeding
