Abstrak

The aim of this research is to present the use of digital whiteboard media to improve the learning
abilities of mentally retarded student in learning mathematics about currency values. This
research was carried out at SLB Negeri Kab. Cirebon. The method used in this research is a
qualitative descriptive method. The instruments in this research are interviews, observation,
documentation and tests. Based on the research results, it was revealed that through the use of
digital whiteboard media, students' currency value mathematical abilities can increase
significantly. Whiteboard digital media is an interactive web-based learning media that can
involve students directly in its use and can help mentally retarded students overcome their
learning problems related to understanding concepts and how to calculate the money used. Thus,
it can be concluded that the digital whiteboard media is very representative for use as a learning
medium, especially in currency values learning for mentally retarded student.
