ANALISIS PROGRAM ZAKAT DALAM MEMBENTUK KEMANDIRIAN EKONOMI MUSTAHIK

(STUDI KASUS BAZNAS KOTA BEKASI)

Abstrak

This study examines the contribution of productive zakat (alms) in Islamic philanthropy, in alleviating structural poverty through the realization of economic independence for beneficiaries (mustahik). The study focuses on the Regular Business Capital Assistance Program initiated by the Bekasi City National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS). Using a descriptive qualitative methodology with a case study approach, primary data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with BAZNAS officials and mustahik recipients of capital stimulus. Data analysis techniques adopted data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion verification. Empirical findings indicate that regular business capital interventions have a substantive positive impact in supporting the operational continuity of existing micro-enterprises. However, the program's effectiveness in stimulating comprehensive financial independence is considered less than optimal. The main obstacles identified include limited nominal capital allocation, minimal visualization of post-disbursement management assistance, and the absence of an integrated periodic monitoring system. This study's recommendations emphasize the importance of reconstructing an empowerment model that combines strengthening financial capital with simultaneous business education.
