The postpartum period is a six-week duration following childbirth, characterized by physical recovery and psychological adaptation. Mothers undergoing caesarean section face higher risks of psychological distress due to postoperative pain, restricted activity, prolonged recovery, and new maternal role adjustments. Mindfulness serves as a non-pharmacological intervention to support maternal mental health. This study aims to analyze the effect of mindfulness intervention on the psychological health of postpartum caesarean section mothers in the Postpartum Ward at Santosa Hospital Bandung Kopo. A quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design (one-group pre-test–post-test) was applied. Using total sampling, 60 postpartum caesarean section mothers were selected. Psychological health was measured using the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk and Wilcoxon Signed-Rank tests. Results showed that before the intervention, 54 respondents (90.0%) were in the good psychological health category, which increased to all 60 respondents (100.0%) post-intervention. The Wilcoxon test revealed a reduction in EPDS scores across all respondents (negative ranks = 60; positive ranks = 0; ties = 0) with Z = -6.782 and p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). This confirms that mindfulness significantly improves the psychological health of postpartum caesarean section mothers. Consequently, mindfulness can be integrated as a non-pharmacological midwifery intervention to enhance maternal well-being during the postpartum period.
