Type II diabetes mellitus is brought on by anomalies in any or both of the following: abnormalities in insulin function or secretion. Being one of the four primary non-communicable illnesses that pose a major threat to current world health and are on the rise annually, diabetes mellitus is a degenerative disease that warrants significant attention. The research objective was to determine the correlation between vitamin C intake and hip waist circumference ratio with fasting blood glucose levels in type II diabetes mellitus patients in the working area of the Gading Rejo Public Health Center in Pringsewu Regency. The design of this research was quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The total population in the study was 108 with a sample of 60. Univariate and bivariate data analysis. The Semi Quantitative FFQ questionnaire was used to quantify vitamin C intake, and the Waist Ruler instrument was used three times to determine the hip waist circumference ratio. The hip waist circumference ratio and fasting blood glucose levels in patients with type II diabetes mellitus were found to be correlated, with a p-value of 0.0001, according to the analysis conducted using the Spearmen rank correlation test. Vitamin C intake was also found to be related to fasting blood glucose levels in these patients. type II diabetes, with a p-value of 0.0001. The study's findings suggest that, in type II diabetic patients, there is a correlation between vitamin C intake and the hip waist circumference ratio and fasting blood glucose.
