HUBUNGAN ANTARA STRES AKADEMIK DENGAN KEJADIAN INSOMNIA PADA MAHASISWA KEPERAWATAN DI UNIVERSITAS ‘AISYIYAH YOGYAKARTA

Latar Belakang: Stres akademik adalah kondisi psikologis yang sering dialami mahasiswa karena tuntutan perkuliahan, tugas, dan praktik klinis. Kondisi ini dapat memengaruhi kualitas tidur dan memicu insomnia. Mahasiswa keperawatan berisiko lebih tinggi mengalami stres akademik karena kombinasi pembelajaran teori dan praktik yang intensif. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara stres akademik dan kejadian insomnia pada mahasiswa keperawatan di Universitas Aisyiyah Yogyakarta. Metode: Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif, dengan desain korelasi deskriptif dan pendekatan cross-sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling, dengan ukuran sampel 70 responden. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan Spearman Rank-Test. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden mengalami stres akademik sedang (62,9%) dan rendah (37,1%). Pada responden dengan stres akademik rendah, sebagian besar mengalami insomnia ringan sebanyak 16 orang (22,9%) dan tidak ada insomnia berat atau sangat berat; Pada tingkat stres akademik sedang, sebagian besar mengalami insomnia ringan sebanyak 26 orang (37,1%), serta insomnia berat 16 orang (22,9%) dan insomnia sangat berat 1 orang (1,4%). Hasil uji Spearman Rank menunjukkan hubungan signifikan antara stres akademik dan kejadian insomnia (p = 0,000; r = 0,573), sehingga semakin tinggi stres akademik, semakin tinggi kejadian/tingkat keparahan insomnia pada mahasiswa. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara stres akademik dan kejadian insomnia pada mahasiswa keperawatan di Universitas 'Aisyiyah Yogyakarta.
Background: Academic stress is a psychological condition often experienced by students due to the demands of lectures, assignments, and clinical practice. This condition can affect sleep quality and trigger insomnia. Nursing students are at a higher risk of experiencing academic stress due to the combination of intensive theoretical and practical learning. Purpose: To determine the relationship between academic stress and the incidence of insomnia in nursing students at 'Aisyiyah University Yogyakarta. Method: The research method used was quantitative, with a descriptive correlation design and a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, with a sample size of 70 respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Data analysis used the Spearman Rank-Test. Results: The results showed that most respondents experienced moderate (62.9%) and low (37.1%) academic stress. In respondents with low academic stress, most experienced mild insomnia as many as 16 people (22.9%) and there was no severe or very severe insomnia; while in moderate academic stress, most experienced mild insomnia as many as 26 people (37.1%), as well as severe insomnia 16 people (22.9%) and very severe insomnia 1 person (1.4%). The results of the Spearman Rank test showed a significant relationship between academic stress and the incidence of insomnia (p = 0.000; r = 0.573), so that the higher the academic stress, the higher the incidence/severity of insomnia in students. Conclusion: There is a relationship between academic stress and the incidence of insomnia in nursing students at 'Aisyiyah University Yogyakarta.
