MANUSIA DAN TUBUH DALAM PERSPEKTIF PERJANJIAN LAMA: KAJIAN TEOLOGIS TENTANG MARTABAT, TANGGUNG JAWAB, DAN RELEVANSINYA BAGI KEHIDUPAN ORANG PERCAYA

Abstrak

Manusia merupakan ciptaan Allah yang memiliki kedudukan yang sangat istimewa di antara seluruh ciptaan. Dalam Perjanjian Lama dijelaskan bahwa manusia diciptakan menurut gambar dan rupa Allah (Imago Dei), sehingga memiliki martabat, nilai, dan tanggung jawab yang tidak dimiliki oleh makhluk lainnya. Pemahaman ini menjadi dasar penting dalam teologi Kristen untuk memahami siapa manusia, bagaimana hubungan manusia dengan Allah, sesama, dan alam semesta. Artikel ini bertujuan menjelaskan konsep manusia dan tubuh dalam perspektif Perjanjian Lama, meliputi penciptaan manusia, konsep tubuh, jiwa, dan roh, manusia sebagai gambar Allah, dampak dosa terhadap kehidupan manusia, serta relevansinya bagi kehidupan orang percaya pada masa kini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan menganalisis teks-teks Alkitab dan pendapat para ahli teologi Perjanjian Lama. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa manusia dipahami sebagai pribadi yang utuh, terdiri atas tubuh, jiwa, dan roh yang tidak dapat dipisahkan. Walaupun dosa telah merusak hubungan manusia dengan Allah, sesama, dan alam, Allah tetap menunjukkan kasih karunia-Nya melalui janji keselamatan. Oleh sebab itu, setiap orang percaya dipanggil untuk menjaga martabat sesama manusia, memelihara tubuh sebagai anugerah Allah, merawat lingkungan, dan hidup sesuai dengan kehendak Allah.

Humans are God's creations, occupying a very special position among all creation. The Old Testament explains that humans were created in the image and likeness of God (Imago Dei), thus possessing dignity, worth, and responsibilities unlike any other creature. This understanding forms an important foundation in Christian theology for understanding who humans are and their relationship to God, others, and the universe. This article aims to explain the concept of humans and the body from an Old Testament perspective, covering the creation of humans, the concepts of body, soul, and spirit, humans as the image of God, the impact of sin on human life, and its relevance for the lives of believers today. This research uses a literature review method by analyzing biblical texts and the opinions of Old Testament theologians. The results indicate that humans are understood as whole persons, consisting of body, soul, and spirit, which cannot be separated. Although sin has damaged humans' relationship with God, others, and nature, God continues to show His grace through the promise of salvation. Therefore, every believer is called to uphold the dignity of others, care for their bodies as gifts from God, care for the environment, and live according to God's will
