Character education is the main goal of national education and the core subject of Christian Religious Education and Moral Education. This study aims to describe the roles, strategies, obstacles, and theological analysis of forming polite and responsible attitudes among students at SMP Negeri 1 Parbuluan. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document review. The results show that Christian Religious Education teachers carry out their roles through teaching biblical values, providing living examples, applying routine habituation, and conducting pastoral guidance. Students' polite and responsible attitudes have shown improvement, although not yet evenly distributed. The main obstacles include influences from the social environment and social media, limited parental guidance, and inconsistent reinforcement of character values by all educators. Theologically, these attitudes are not merely cultural norms but a manifestation of obedience and love toward God and others. It is concluded that successful character formation requires integrated and sustainable cooperation between schools, families, and the church.
