Abstrak

Critical thinking skills are among the essential competencies that students must possess in the 21st century. In the context of Christian Religious Education (CRE), critical thinking not only helps students understand biblical teachings more deeply but also enables them to analyze various life issues based on Christian values. However, CRE learning is often still oriented toward memorization and knowledge transfer, providing limited opportunities for students to develop critical thinking skills. This article aims to examine the importance of developing critical thinking skills in Christian Religious Education and to identify learning strategies that can support their development. The study employs a library research method by analyzing relevant books, journals, and academic articles. The findings indicate that Problem-Based Learning, Inquiry Learning, Contextual Teaching and Learning, and Reflective Discussion can effectively enhance students' critical thinking skills in CRE. Therefore, Christian Religious Education teachers should develop active, reflective, and contextual learning approaches to help students integrate faith with everyday life experiences
