Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis penguatan nilai-nilai karakter dan adab pada anak-anak panti asuhan di Yayasan Panti Asuhan Daarul Aitam Palembang. Metode pengabdian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang terintegrasi melalui program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Rekognisi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan pengasuh, dan studi dokumentasi kegiatan harian anak asuh. Berbagai program kerja diimplementasikan, meliputi pembersihan panti, mengaji terjadwal setelah ashar dan dzuhur, bimbingan muhadoroh (pidato), serta sosialisasi anti-bullying dan cyberbullying untuk membentengi moral anak di era digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola pengasuhan yang terstruktur dan pembiasaan ibadah harian secara konsisten memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan bagi peningkatan kemandirian, kedisiplinan, serta kesantunan budi pekerti anak asuh. Anak-anak yang sebelumnya awam terhadap teknik berpidato dan menghafal dalil kini telah menunjukkan peningkatan rasa percaya diri dan kemampuan berkomunikasi yang baik. Tantangan utama yang menghadapi panti asuhan meliputi keterbatasan sarana prasarana serta perbedaan latar belakang psikologis anak, namun hal ini dapat diatasi melalui kolaborasi intensif antara mahasiswa pengabdi dan pengurus yayasan.

 

This study aims to describe and analyze the strengthening of character values and manners (adab) among children at the Daarul Aitam Orphanage in Palembang. This community service method employs a descriptive qualitative approach integrated through the Recognition Student Community Service (KKN) program. Data collection was carried out through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with caregivers, and documentation studies of the foster children's daily activities. Various work programs were implemented, including orphanage cleaning, scheduled Quranic recitation after Asr and Dhuhr, muhadoroh (speech) training, and socialization on anti-bullying and cyberbullying to shield children's morals in the digital era. The results indicate that structured parenting patterns and consistent daily worship habits significantly exert positive impacts on enhancing foster children's independence, discipline, and moral conduct. Children who were previously unfamiliar with public speaking techniques and memorizing Quranic proofs have now shown increased self-confidence and good communication skills. Through this integrative strategy, the orphanage has successfully performed its function as an agent of moral formation for Islamic youth ready to face modern challenges. The main challenges encountered include infrastructure limitations and diverse psychological backgrounds of the children, which were overcome through intensive collaboration between student volunteers and orphanage administrators
