PERAN MASJID QUBA DALAM PEMBENTUKAN PERADABAN ISLAM

Abstrak

Masjid Quba merupakan masjid pertama yang dibangun oleh Nabi Muhammad setelah peristiwa Hijrah pada tahun 622 M. Keberadaan masjid ini tidak hanya memiliki fungsi religius sebagai tempat ibadah, tetapi juga memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk struktur sosial, pendidikan, dan peradaban masyarakat Muslim awal di Madinah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Masjid Quba sebagai pusat peradaban Islam pada masa awal perkembangan masyarakat Muslim. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi pustaka dengan analisis historis dan sosiologis. Data diperoleh dari kitab sejarah klasik, buku akademik, serta artikel jurnal internasional yang terindeks Scopus dan Google Scholar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Masjid Quba memiliki fungsi multidimensional sebagai pusat ibadah, pendidikan, integrasi sosial, dan pembentukan identitas komunitas Muslim. Model fungsi masjid yang berkembang di Masjid Quba kemudian menjadi dasar bagi perkembangan institusi sosial dan pendidikan dalam peradaban Islam. Oleh karena itu, konsep masjid sebagai pusat peradaban yang dicontohkan oleh Masjid Quba masih relevan untuk dikembangkan dalam konteks masyarakat Muslim modern.

The Quba Mosque was the first mosque built by the Prophet Muhammad after the Hijrah event in 622 AD. The existence of this mosque not only has a religious function as a place of worship, but also has a strategic role in shaping the social, educational, and civilizational structure of the early Muslim community in Medina. This study aims to analyze the role of the Quba Mosque as the center of Islamic civilization in the early days of the development of Muslim society. The research method uses a qualitative approach through literature study with historical and sociological analysis. Data were obtained from classic history books, academic books, and international journal articles indexed by Scopus and Google Scholar. The results of the study show that the Quba Mosque has a multidimensional function as a center of worship, education, social integration, and the formation of the identity of the Muslim community. The model of mosque function that developed in the Quba Mosque later became the basis for the development of social and educational institutions in Islamic civilization. Therefore, the concept of the mosque as the center of civilization exemplified by the Quba Mosque is still relevant to be developed in the context of modern Muslim society.
