PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN IBU RUMAH TANGGA DI DAERAH GRIYA PERSEMAIAN MELALUI PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN NUGGET IKAN LOKAL SEBAGAI PRODUK OLAHAN SIAP JUAL DAN SUMBER PENDAPATAN DI TARAKAN

Abstrak

Pemberdayaan ekonomi ibu rumah tangga merupakan salah satu strategi efektif untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat berbasis komunitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan ibu rumah tangga di Griya Persemaian, Kota Tarakan, melalui pelatihan pembuatan nugget ikan lokal sebagai produk olahan siap jual. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan partisipatif, di mana peserta tidak hanya menerima materi, tetapi juga terlibat aktif dalam praktik pengolahan ikan bandeng menjadi nugget. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan peserta dalam mengolah ikan, pemahaman tentang potensi usaha rumahan, serta mulai tumbuhnya minat berwirausaha. Sebagian peserta mulai menunjukkan ketertarikan untuk memasarkan produk mereka di lingkungan sekitar. Pelatihan ini terbukti memberikan dampak positif, baik secara teknis maupun ekonomi, serta memiliki potensi untuk direplikasi di wilayah lain yang memiliki karakteristik serupa. Kegiatan ini menjadi contoh konkret sinergi antara potensi lokal dan pengembangan sumber daya manusia dalam rangka menciptakan usaha mikro berbasis rumah tangga yang berkelanjutan.

Economic empowerment of housewives is one of the effective strategies to improve the welfare of community-based society. This research aims to improve the skills of housewives in Griya Persemaian, Tarakan City, through training in making local fish nuggets as a processed product ready for sale. The method used was descriptive qualitative with a participatory approach, where participants not only received material, but were also actively involved in the practice of processing milkfish into nuggets. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' skills in processing fish, an understanding of the potential of home-based businesses, and a growing interest in entrepreneurship. Some participants have begun to show an interest in marketing their products within their local community. This training has proven to have a positive impact, both technically and economically, and has the potential to be replicated in other areas with similar characteristics. This activity is a concrete example of the synergy between local potential and human resource development in order to create sustainable household-based micro-enterprises.
