ANALISIS SEJARAH DAN BUDAYA DALAM PROSES PENYEBARAN ISLAM DI NUSANTARA: STUDI KEPUSTAKAAN

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses penyebaran Islam di Nusantara melalui pendekatan sejarah dan budaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kepustakaan dengan menelaah berbagai sumber ilmiah, seperti buku, jurnal, dan hasil penelitian terdahulu yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penyebaran Islam di Nusantara berlangsung secara bertahap, damai, dan tidak melalui satu jalur tunggal. Islam masuk dan berkembang melalui berbagai saluran, antara lain perdagangan, pernikahan, tasawuf, pendidikan, seni budaya, dan kekuasaan politik. Keberagaman teori mengenai masuknya Islam ke Nusantara seperti teori Arab, Gujarat, Persia, Cina, dan Turki menunjukkan adanya interaksi global yang luas seiring dengan posisi strategis Nusantara dalam jaringan perdagangan internasional. Selain itu, keberhasilan Islam diterima oleh masyarakat Nusantara sangat dipengaruhi oleh pendekatan kultural yang bersifat akomodatif terhadap budaya lokal. Proses akulturasi antara nilai-nilai Islam dan kearifan lokal melahirkan corak Islam Nusantara yang moderat, toleran, dan inklusif. Temuan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa penyebaran Islam di Nusantara tidak hanya membentuk identitas keagamaan, tetapi juga berperan penting dalam pembentukan kehidupan sosial, budaya, dan politik masyarakat.

This study aims to analyze the process of the spread of Islam in the Indonesian archipelago through a historical and cultural approach. The method used in this study is a literature study by examining various scientific sources, such as books, journals, and relevant previous research results. The results of the study indicate that the spread of Islam in the Indonesian archipelago occurred gradually, peacefully, and not through a single path. Islam entered and developed through various channels, including trade, marriage, Sufism, education, arts and culture, and political power. The diversity of theories regarding the entry of Islam into the Indonesian archipelago, such as the Arabic, Gujarati, Persian, Chinese, and Turkish theories, indicates extensive global interactions along with the strategic position of the Indonesian archipelago in international trade networks. Furthermore, the success of Islam's acceptance by the Indonesian archipelago community was greatly influenced by a cultural approach that was accommodating to local culture. The process of acculturation between Islamic values and local wisdom gave birth to a moderate, tolerant, and inclusive character of Indonesian Islam. The findings of this study confirm that the spread of Islam in the Indonesian archipelago not only shaped religious identity but also played a significant role in shaping the social, cultural, and political life of the community.
