PENGARUH TINGKAT PENDIDIKAN DAN PENDAPATAN TERHADAP KESEJAHTERAAN RUMAH TANGGA DI DESA MUARA SEKALO KABUPATEN TEBO

Abstrak

This study aims to analyze the influence of education level and income on household welfare in Muara Sekalo Village, Tebo Regency. In this research, household welfare is defined as the condition where the physical and spiritual needs of the family are met in a balanced manner, both materially and spiritually. The phenomenon observed in the field shows that many families in rural areas have not fully achieved optimal welfare, even though they have formal educational backgrounds. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine whether education and income significantly influence household welfare. This research employs a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis as the analytical tool. The research sample consisted of 39 household heads selected through purposive sampling based on specific criteria, such as socio- economic status and minimum education level ranging from elementary school (SD) to postgraduate (S2). Data collection instruments were questionnaires with a Likert scale. The results of the study indicate that the education variable does not have a significant influence on household welfare, while income has a significant effect. Simultaneously, education and income together have a significant influence on household welfare. These findings suggest that economic factors, particularly income, play a more dominant role than education level in determining household welfare, especially among palm oil farming communities in Muara Sekalo Village. Therefore, efforts to improve household welfare in the area should focus more on strengthening income through productive economic activities,  entrepreneurship  training,  and  wise  financial Management.
