STRATEGI PENANAMAN KARAKTER PADA ANAK USIA DINI MELALUI KONTEN VISUAL DAN GERAKAN KREATIF

Penanaman nilai karakter pada anak usia dini merupakan aspek penting dalam proses pendidikan, khususnya pada lembaga Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD). Namun, dalam praktiknya masih ditemukan berbagai permasalahan, seperti kurangnya keteladanan, kedisiplinan, pembiasaan berdoa, serta pengaruh lingkungan digital yang cenderung individualistis sehingga nilai-nilai karakter belum sepenuhnya tertanam dalam kehidupan anak. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan strategi penanaman karakter anak usia dini melalui pemanfaatan konten visual dan gerakan kreatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan mengkaji berbagai sumber terkait pendidikan karakter anak usia dini. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan konten visual, seperti cerita Alkitab bergambar dan poster rohani, serta kegiatan gerakan kreatif seperti lagu rohani dengan gerakan dan drama cerita Alkitab dapat membantu anak memahami dan mempraktikkan nilai-nilai karakter Kristen seperti kasih, kejujuran, ketaatan, kerendahan hati, dan tanggung jawab. Pendekatan ini membuat proses pembelajaran lebih menarik, bermakna, dan sesuai dengan karakteristik anak usia dini sehingga nilai-nilai karakter dapat tertanam secara lebih efektif dalam kehidupan anak.
Instilling character values in early childhood is an important aspect of the educational process, particularly in Early Childhood Education (ECE) institutions. However, in practice, several challenges are still found, such as the lack of role modeling, discipline, prayer habits, and the influence of a digital environment that tends to encourage individualistic behavior, resulting in character values not being fully internalized in children’s daily lives. Therefore, appropriate and engaging learning strategies are needed according to the developmental stages of children. This paper aims to explain strategies for instilling character values in early childhood through the use of visual content and creative movement. The method used in this study is a literature review by examining various sources related to early childhood character education. The results of the study indicate that the use of visual content, such as illustrated Bible stories and spiritual posters, as well as creative movement activities like Christian songs with movements and Bible story drama, can help children understand and practice Christian character values such as love, honesty, obedience, humility, and responsibility. This approach makes the learning process more engaging, meaningful, and suitable for the characteristics of early childhood, so that character values can be instilled more effectively in children’s lives.
