Abstrak

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sejarah dan perkembangan mushaf Al-Quran yang disimpan di museum-museum di Sumatera Utara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan kurator dan pengelola museum, serta observasi langsung terhadap koleksi mushaf Al-Quran di museum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa museum-museum di Sumatera Utara, seperti Museum Negeri Provinsi Sumatera Utara dan Museum Aceh, memiliki koleksi mushaf Al-Quran kuno yang beragam, baik dari segi usia, gaya kaligrafi, maupun teknik penyalinan. Mushaf-mushaf tersebut tidak hanya menjadi bukti sejarah perkembangan Islam di wilayah ini, tetapi juga mencerminkan keunikan budaya lokal yang terintegrasi dalam tradisi penyalinan dan penggunaan Al-Quran. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa koleksi mushaf Al-Quran di museum-museum Sumatera Utara memiliki nilai historis, budaya, dan religius yang penting untuk dikaji dan dilestarikan sebagai warisan budaya Islam di Indonesia.

This research aims to examine the history and development of Al-Quran manuscripts stored in museums in North Sumatra. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews with museum curators and managers, as well as direct observation of the Al- Quran manuscript collection in the museum. The research results show that museums in North Sumatra, such as the North Sumatra Provincial State Museum and the Aceh Museum, have diverse collections of ancient Al-Quran manuscripts, both in terms of age, calligraphy style and copying techniques. These manuscripts are not only evidence of the history of the development of Islam in this region, but also reflect the uniqueness of local culture which is integrated in the tradition of copying and North Sumatra and the Aceh Museum have collections of ancient Al-Quran manuscripts that are diverse, both in terms of age, calligraphy style and copying techniques. This research concludes that the collection of Al-Quran manuscripts in North Sumatra museums has historical, cultural and religious value that is important to study and preserve as Islamic cultural heritage in Indonesia.
