IMPLEMENTASI BUDAYA TOLERANSI BERAGAMA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM (PAI) BERBASIS MULTIKULTURAL DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA (SMP) SWASTA LABUANRASOKI KOTA PADANGSIDIMPUAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) yang memuat nilai-nilai budaya toleransi beragama dengan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis multikultural di SMP Swasta Labuanrasoki Kota Padangsidimpuan. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah pentingnya penguatan sikap toleransi di kalangan peserta didik dalam menghadapi keberagaman agama di lingkungan masyarakat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Metode ini digunakan untuk menggambarkan dan menjelaskan fenomena atau permasalahan yang diteliti secara sistematis dan faktual tanpa melakukan perhitungan statistik. Peneliti berperan sebagai instrumen utama dalam pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi budaya toleransi beragama dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMP Swasta Labuanrasoki Kota Padangsidimpuan telah dilaksanakan secara cukup baik. Guru PAI mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai toleransi beragama ke dalam proses pembelajaran melalui penyampaian materi, metode pembelajaran, serta sikap dan keteladanan guru di dalam kelas.Nilai toleransi beragama ditanamkan melalui materi akhlak, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan sikap saling menghormati, menghargai perbedaan, hidup rukun, dan tidak memaksakan keyakinan kepada orang lain. Guru PAI menekankan bahwa Islam mengajarkan sikap tasamuh (toleransi) terhadap sesama manusia, baik yang seagama maupun yang berbeda agama. Kesimpulannya, bahwa implementasi budaya toleransi beragama dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) berbasis multikultural di SMP Swasta Labuanrasoki Kota Padangsidimpuan telah berjalan dengan cukup baik. Guru PAI secara sadar mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai toleransi beragama ke dalam materi pembelajaran, khususnya melalui penanaman nilai akhlak mulia seperti saling menghormati, menghargai perbedaan, dan hidup rukun dalam keberagaman.
This thesis discusses how multicultural-based Islamic Religious Education at Labuanrasoki Private Junior High School (SMP), Padangsidimpuan, has contributed to the development of a religiously tolerant culture. The study's goal is to provide Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teaching materials that combine concepts of religious tolerance using a multicultural learning approach at Labuanrasoki Private Junior High School in Padangsidimpuan. The need of establishing tolerant attitudes among students in reacting to religious diversity in society serves as the foundation for this study. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method. This method was used to systematically and factually describe and explain the phenomena or issues under investigation without statistical calculations. The researcher served as the primary instrument in data collection. The study's findings show that the establishment of a culture of religious tolerance in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at Labuanrasoki Private Junior High School, Padangsidimpuan, went quite well. PAI teachers include religious tolerance values into the learning process through subject matter delivery, instructional methodologies, and in-class attitudes and role modelling. Values of religious tolerance are instilled through moral (akhlak) materials, particularly those related to mutual respect, appreciation of differences, harmonious living, and refraining from imposing one’s beliefs on others. PAI teachers emphasize that Islam teaches tasamuh (tolerance) toward fellow human beings, both those of the same faith and those of different religions. In conclusion, the Labuanrasoki Private Junior High School in Padangsidimpuan has successfully implemented a culture of religious tolerance in multicultural-based Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum. PAI teachers actively incorporate religious tolerance ideas into their teaching materials, notably by cultivating noble moral qualities such as mutual regard, respect for differences, and harmonious living within variety.
