Abstrak

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of Christian Religious Education in the post-truth era through cases of intolerance between pastors and priests on social media, particularly on Facebook and TikTok, and examine its implications for interfaith relations in East Nusa Tenggara. The post-truth era is characterized by the dominance of opinion and emotion over objective facts, which impacts how society understands and responds to religious issues in the digital space. The research method used is qualitative, using the approach of Habermas's public sphere theory and John Hick's religious pluralism, as well as literature studies from books and journal articles. The results of the study show that the digital space has become a new place for religious expression that is educational, but also provocative. Facebook and TikTok algorithms tend to accelerate the spread of conflict narratives and contradictory writings. The phenomena that occur on the platforms reflect intolerance between Protestants and Catholics. Conflicts between religious communities can be reduced through love, mutual respect, not bringing doctrine that leads to solutions, and humane communication ethics on social media. Thus, this research recommends the importance of ethical communication in public spaces that comply with regulations, integrate pluralistic values into education, and foster a critical and inclusive generation, while representing universal values of love. Therefore, Education religion Crhirstian in the digital age is expected to continue to function as a source of peace and not a trigger for conflict.
