EFEKTIVITAS LATIHAN INTERVAL TRAINING TERHADAP DAYA TAHAN ANAEROB ATLET KARATE KUMITE

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas Interval Training terhadap daya tahan anaerob atlet karate kumite. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif pre-test dan post-test satu kelompok dengan 10 atlet sebagai subjek. Pengukuran daya tahan anaerob dilakukan menggunakan Running-based Anaerobic Sprint Test (RAST), dengan indikator Peak Power dan Fatigue Index. Analisis data mencakup uji normalitas, paired t-test, dan perhitungan N-Gain untuk menilai tingkat efektivitas latihan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Interval Training meningkatkan Peak Power dan menurunkan Fatigue Index secara signifikan, dengan kategori N-Gain sedang, yang menegaskan bahwa latihan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan daya tahan anaerob. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa program Interval Training dapat diterapkan secara sistematis untuk meningkatkan kapasitas fisik, koordinasi gerakan, dan konsistensi performa atlet selama pertandingan kumite.
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of interval training on the anaerobic endurance of karate kumite athletes. The research method used a quantitative pre-test and post-test approach with a single group of 10 athletes as subjects. Anaerobic endurance was measured using the Running-based Anaerobic Sprint Test (RAST), with Peak Power and Fatigue Index as indicators. Data analysis included a normality test, a paired t-test, and an N-Gain calculation to assess the training effectiveness. The results showed that interval training significantly increased Peak Power and decreased Fatigue Index, with a moderate N-Gain, confirming its effectiveness in improving anaerobic endurance. These findings suggest that the interval training program can be systematically implemented to improve physical capacity, movement coordination, and performance consistency in athletes during kumite competitions.
