“IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE JIGSAW UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS PADA MATERI FUNGSI KUADRAT”

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik SMA Negeri 1 Kisaran pada materi fungsi kuadrat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan desain siklus yang terdiri dari 4 tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes uraian untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik dari kategori rendah menjadi tinggi. Peningkatan ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik yang meningkat dari 52,50 pada siklus I menjadi 87,50 pada siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik SMA Negeri 1 Kisaran pada materi fungsi kuadrat. 

This research aims to determine the effect of implementing the jigsaw type cooperative learning model on the mathematical communication skills of students at SMA Negeri 1 Kisaran on quadratic function material. This type of research is classroom action research with a cycle design consisting of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research instrument used was a description test to measure students' mathematical communication abilities. The research results show that the application of the jigsaw type cooperative learning model can improve students' mathematical communication skills from low to high categories. This increase is evidenced by the average score of students' mathematical communication ability tests which increased from 52.50 in cycle I to 87.50 in cycle III. Based on the results of this research, it was concluded that the jigsaw type cooperative learning model was effective in improving the mathematical communication skills of students at SMA Negeri 1 Kisaran on quadratic function material.
