Abstrak

Pemeriksaan kesehatan di sekolah merupakan kegiatan penting untuk memantau dan menjaga kesehatan siswa di sekolah. Tujuan utama dari pemeriksaan ini adalah tentang pentingnya menjaga kesehatan dan kebersihan diri terhadap siswa – siswi di SDN Tambaksari I / 157 Surabaya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode observasi deskriptif menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif sederhana, melibatkan 10 siswa yang dipilih secara acak. Fokus observasi mencakup lima indikator utama: kebersihan telinga, kesehatan mata dan gigi, status gizi, kebersihan lingkungan sekolah, serta fasilitas kesehatan dasar. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa mengalami masalah status gizi seperti kekurangan berat badan (stunting) dan satu kasus obesitas. Selain itu, ditemukan gangguan kesehatan ringan seperti cerumen, gigi berlubang, flu ringan, dan gangguan visus seperti buta warna parsial dan total. Lingkungan sekolah umumnya bersih, namun masih terdapat kekurangan dalam pengelolaan sampah dan fasilitas cuci tangan. Temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya peningkatan edukasi dan intervensi kesehatan secara berkelanjutan melalui peran aktif UKS, guru, orang tua, dan lembaga kesehatan terkait guna menciptakan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat yang lebih optimal di lingkungan sekolah dasar.

School health checks are important activities to monitor and maintain the health of students at school. The main purpose of this examination is about the importance of maintaining health and personal hygiene for students at SDN Tambaksari I / 157 Surabaya. The research utilized a descriptive observational method with a simple qualitative and quantitative approach, involving 10 randomly selected students. The observation focused on five key health indicators: ear hygiene, eye and dental health, nutritional status, school environmental cleanliness, and the availability of basic health facilities. The findings revealed that most students exhibited nutritional issues, such as underweight conditions (stunting), with one case of obesity. Additionally, minor health problems were identified, including cerumen accumulation, dental cavities, mild flu symptoms, and vision disorders such as partial and total color blindness. Although the school environment was generally clean, deficiencies were noted in waste management and handwashing facilities. These findings underscore the need for enhanced health education and sustainable health interventions through the active roles of the school health unit (UKS), teachers, parents, and health institutions to foster improved clean and healthy living behaviors among elementary school students.
