RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM PENERIMAAN PESERTA DIDIK BARU BERBASIS WEB DENGAN METODE RAPID APLICATION DEVELOPMENT DI SMK RISTEK KARAWANG

Abstrak

Perkembangan teknologi dan ilmu pengetahuan pada masa globalisasi ini dirasakan telah semakin pesat dan canggih. Sistem informasi sangatlah penting untuk digunakan pada lingkungan perusahaaan, instansi, organisasi, khususnya dalam dunia pendidikan. Misalnya pada bagian akademik, sistem Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru. SMK Ristek merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan yang berada di Karawang. Permasalahan yang sering terjadi diantaranya terjadi kesalahan dalam pengolahan data yang masih manual dan banyaknya data calon siswa pendaftar yang harus di olah, sulitnya pencarian data siswa pendaftar karena data dalam bentuk tumpukan formulir, tidak efisiennya waktu dalam proses penyeleksian dengan melihat dan mengecek satu persatu persyaratan formulir pendaftaran calon siswa, dan informasi yang diperoleh calon siswa tidak cepat karena harus datang ke sekolah langsung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rapid Aplication Development yang dimana metode ini merupakan merupakan versi adaptasi cepat dari model waterfall, dengan menggunakan pendekatan konstruksi komponen. RAD merupakan gabungan dari bermacam-macam teknik prototyping dan metode pengembangan joint application untuk mempercepat pengembangan sebuah sistem. Hasil penelitian ini adalah merancang Sistem Informasi Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru di SMK Ristek Karawang untuk mempermudah proses pendaftaran dan untuk mempercepat proses pencariann data calon siswa baru.

Information systems are very important for use in corporate environments, agencies, organizations, especially in the world of education, For example, in the academic section, the New Student Admissions system. SMK Ristek is one of the educational institutions located in Karawang. Problems that frequently occur include errors in manual data processing and the large amount of data on prospective student applicants that must be processed, and the difficulty of searching for student applicant data because the data is in the form of piles of forms, the inefficiency of time in the selection process by looking at and checking one by one the requirements for the prospective student registration form, and the information that prospective students obtain is not fast because they have to come to the school directly. The method used in this research is Rapid Application Development, which is a fast adaptation version of the waterfall model, using a component construction approach. RAD is a combination of various prototyping techniques and joint application development methods to accelerate the development of a system. The results of this study are to design a New Student Admissions Information System at SMK Ristek Karawang to simplify the registration process and to speed up the process of searching for prospective new student data.
