ANALISIS PENGGUNAAN KALIMAT YANG TIDAK EFEKTIF PADA TUGAS CBR MAHASISWA JURUSAN KIMIA UNIMED

Abstrak

Kalimat tidak efektif merupakan kalimat yang penggunaannya tidak sesuai dengan kaidah kebahasaan. Dalam penulisan tugas CBR mahasiswa jurusan kimia UNIMED, penggunaan kalimat efektif kerap diabaikan. Padahal semestinya dalam pengerjaan tugas harus menggunakan bahasa yang benar agar tidak tercipta miss communication. Penelitian ini membahas tentang kalimat yang tidak efektif pada tugas CBR mahasiswa jurusan kimia UNIMED. Tujuannya unuk mencari wujud kalimat tidak efektif dalam tugas CBR yang meliputi kesepadanan dan kesatuan, kesejajaran, kehematan, dan kesesuaian dengan EyD. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dengan menunjukan letak ketidakefektifan kalimat. Data-data penelitian yang dikumpulkan diambil dari empat tugas CBR mahasiswa UNIMED. Kesalahan yang ditemukan penulis pada tugas CBR berupa penggunaan kalimat yang tidak hemat, tidak menggunakan struktur S-P-O- K, tidak lugas, bertele-tele, tidak sesuai dengan EyD, dan lai-lain. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, dapat disimpulkan masih banyak dijumpai mahasiswa yang mengabaikan keefektifan kalimat dalam mengerjakan tugas.

Ineffective sentences are sentences whose use does not comply with linguistic rules. In writing CBR assignments for students majoring in chemistry at UNIMED, the use of effective sentences is often ignored. In fact, when carrying out assignments, you should use the correct language to avoid creating miscommunication. This research discusses sentences that are ineffective in the CBR assignments of students majoring in chemistry at UNIMED. The aim is to look for forms of ineffective sentences in CBR tasks which include agreement and unity, parallelism, economy, conformity with EyD. This research is descriptive qualitative in nature by showing where sentences are ineffective. The research data collected was taken from four UNIMED students' CBR assignments. The errors found by the writers in the CBR assignment were in the form of using sentences that were not economical, not using the S-P-O-K structure, not being straightforward, being long-winded, not in accordance with EyD, and so on. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that there are still many students who ignore the effectiveness of sentences in carrying out assignments.
