HUBUNGAN ADIKSI INTERNET DENGAN PROKRASTINASI AKADEMIK PADA REMAJA DI MA NEGERI SE-KOTA SERANG

The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between internet addiction and academic procrastination among adolescents in State MA Negeri in Serang City. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational type. This study involved 1830 adolescents who were in class XII of the State MA Negeri in Serang City. A total of 330 students were sampled through probability sampling method, using simple random technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and scale measurements using Likert scales for internet addiction and academic procrastination variables. The results of data analysis showed a simple correlation with a significance value of (0.000 <0.05), which indicates that the variable of internet addiction is related to the variable of academic procrastination in State MA Negeri in Serang City. The correlation value uses Karl Pearson product moment correlation, the correlation value reaches 0.636. This indicates that the internet addiction variable and the academic procrastination variable have a positive relationship, with higher levels of internet addiction indicating higher academic procrastination, and conversely, lower levels of internet addiction indicating lower academic procrastination.
