This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the learning model Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) in improving students' understanding of mathematical concepts, especially in the material on Systems of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SPLDV) MTs Al-Hasaniyah NW Jenggik. This research is a quantitative type of research quasi experiment and use design Post-Test with Non-Equivalent Control-Group Design. The population was all 65 students in class VIII and the sample was 33 students in the experimental class and 32 students in the control class. The data collection technique used is a test in the form of a description. The results of the validity test of 10 descriptive questions obtained 8 valid questions (r_count>0,477). Meanwhile, the instrument reliability test results were obtained at 0.828 and were classified as high reliability. Of the eight valid and reliable questions, 5 questions were selected to be tested at that time pretest And posttest. Meanwhile, the results of the data normality test and the data homogeneity test posttest For the experimental and control classes, the data obtained were normally distributed and homogeneous, namely producing significant values > 0.05. The t-test results show t_count 7,305 > t_table 1.998 indicates that the expected hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, so it can be concluded that the model Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) effective in increasing the understanding of mathematical concepts for class VIII students at MTs Al-Hasaniyah NW Jenggik for the 2024/2025 academic year.
