Skripsi ini mengunakan metode penelitian kualitatif melalui pendekatan deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah, Observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial, terutama platform seperti Instagram, memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung keterbukaan informasi publik. Melalui media sosial, Disdukcapil dapat menyampaikan informasi mengenai layanan administrasi kependudukan. Media sosial juga berfungsi sebagai sarana komunikasi dua arah antara pemerintah dan masyarakat dalam memberikan tanggapan terhadap pertanyaan, masukan, maupun keluhan masyarakat. Pemanfaatan media sosial masih terkendala oleh keterbatasan sumber daya manusia, ketersediaan sarana pendukung, dan tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dalam mengakses informasi publik. Oleh karena itu, pemanfaatan media sosial oleh Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil Kota Jambi berperan dalam mendukung keterbukaan informasi publik, terutama dalam penyampaian informasi layanan dan interaksi dengan masyarakat. Namun, pelaksanaannya belum optimal akibat keterbatasan sumber daya dan partisipasi masyarakat, sehingga diperlukan penguatan komunikasi digital secara berkelanjutan.</p> <p><em>This study aims to determine the role of social media in public information disclosure at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Jambi City. This thesis uses a qualitative research method through a descriptive approach, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that social media, particularly platforms like Facebook and Instagram, plays a crucial role in supporting public information disclosure. Through social media, the Population and Civil Registration Office can disseminate information regarding population administration services, activity schedules, and program innovations quickly, widely, and interactively. Social media also serves as a two-way communication tool between the agency and the public, providing responses to public questions, input, and complaints. However, the effectiveness of social media utilization is still hampered by limited human resources and low digital literacy among the public. Therefore, the Jambi City Population and Civil Registration Office's use of social media plays a role in supporting public information transparency, particularly in delivering service information and interacting with the public. Pelindo II (Persero) Teluk Bayur Branch. This study is a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) model with SmartPLS 3.0 analysis tools. The population and sample of this study are employees of PT. Pelindo II (Persero) Teluk Bayur Branch. The study found a positive and insignificant effect between digital competence and work discipline. There was a positive and significant effect between information technology utilization and work discipline. There was a positive and significant effect between digital competence and employee performance. There was a positive and insignificant effect between information technology utilization and employee performance. There was a positive and significant effect between work discipline and employee performance. Work discipline did not mediate the effect of digital competence on employee performance.
