Alcohol consumption behavior is a psychosocial issue related to physical and psychological conditions, as well as a lifestyle oriented toward the pursuit of pleasure. A hedonistic lifestyle among alcoholics may be associated with internal and social factors, including self-esteem and conformity. This study aims to determine the role of self-esteem and conformity as predictors of a hedonistic lifestyle among alcoholics. This study employed a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis. The sample consisted of 332 alcoholics aged 18-25 years, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), the Conformity Scale, and a hedonistic lifestyle scale based on the Activities, Interests, and Opinions (AIO) components. The results showed that self-esteem and conformity simultaneously had a significant effect on hedonistic lifestyle (R = 0.541; R² = 0.293; F = 68.173; p < 0.001), accounting for 29.3% of the variance. Partially, self-esteem had a significant negative effect (β = -0.392; t = -6.982; p < 0.001), while conformity had a significant positive effect (β = 0.377; t = 8.003; p < 0.001). These findings indicate that the lower the self-esteem and the higher the conformity, the greater the tendency toward a hedonistic lifestyle among alcoholics.
